I was very pleased to hear that Northern Soul dance workshops were coming to Exeter Street Hall in Brighton. I managed to miss the dance form first time round, but I'd seen videos and loved the music so was first in the queue to make up for lost time! I found the workshop easy to follow. We started off with simple basic steps and had plenty of time for our brains to absorb them before moving on the more complicated footwork and by the end of the session we were able to complete a short routine. What I found most exciting, is that even from the very start, with the simplest of steps, we were dancing! It was obvious that people were relaxed enough with the teaching to ask questions and for repetition and clarification if needed. Peter was more than helpful to any who felt they were struggling by pointing them in the right direction on You tube and suggesting they filmed his footwork so they could get some practice in between workshops. Sadly, there's only one more session scheduled for this year, but I really hope there'll be more. Not only is it a great form of exercise to great music but a wonderful sociable way to spend a couple of hours on a Saturday afternoon.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to say how much i am enjoying your Northern Soul Dance Workshop in Brighton. Saturday was my second time and like the first, it ticks all the boxes for me. It`s great when it`s possible to follow steps , via your instructions that are clear and put across in a relaxed way, where everybody can follow and work to their own pace and ability without any pressure. Overall it`s a fun, well put together class , not forgetting the superb music. I would certainly recommend you to anybody new contemplating coming along.

I have found Kim and Peter's Pilates classes informative and engaging, ideal for a beginner or an improver. I recommend anyone to try as everyone is welcomed.
